Toured Gettysburg & Yuengling today

We only drove about 150 miles today. So far, Pennsylvania & South Carolina have the worst roads, full of pot holes. We started out to do the driving tour through Gettysburg National Park this morning. We went to the welcome center and got maps. It should have been easy but we were so twisted around that we didn't get to see much. We did see where Lincoln gave the Gettysburg Address and that was cool. We left without seeing some of the things that both Ray & Jim wanted us to see because less than 100 miles away was the Yuengling Brewery and we had to be there by 1PM for the last tour of the day. Yuengling is the oldest brewery in the USA and while they have two other locations, this first one is still operating in its original building. We had to wait to go into the bottling part of the tour because someone in another tour group, took a can from the conveyor belt. They had to stop everything and count the cans. The city of Pottsville, PA, Yuengling's home, is full of really steep hills, big old houses, and narrow streets. We at lunch at Roma's Pizza. Ray had a small Stromboli that was big enough for his lunch and it was our dinner tonight too. They also had good cannolis. We went another 50 + miles to Wilkes Barre, PA for the night. The weather was cloudy with occasional mist. Boy! We went up and down some huge hills with a 9% grade. Tomorrow we should be in New York State. Well it looks like there won't be any pictures tonight. I will try again tomorrow. I'm bummed!

  1. Looking good Teri, maybe the rain is over for now, I arrived in Kennebunkport today, washed and waxed the 30 Phaeton this afternoon, tomorrow I plan to change the oil, adjust the brakes and a few other things to get ready for the MAFCA tour.
