Owls Head Today. Bar Harbor Tomorrow

The weather today was absolutely perfect! Rick Horne, we met your friends, Rich and Janet Lange, today . . . of all places doing laundry at the hotel. Today we went to the Owls Head Transportation Museum. What a nice place. We saw an 1885 Benz replicar. It was interesting to hear all of the details of what to do just to start the car. The carburator was bigger than the gas tank. Ray & I rode in a Model T town car, 1914. Kim & Jim ride in a 1911 Cadillac, the oldest car he ever rode in. On the way to the museum, we did a comfort stop. I looked up and saw Jim under 1929 Roadster Highboy. Ray and Tom were on the other side looking it over. We narrowly missed a manhole that did not have a cover! Lunch was wonderful. It was a lobster & clam bake. Yum! The last stop of the day was Owls Head, a US Coast Guard Maintained Lighthouse. It was the first light house on this trip that we were able to climb all 52 steps to the top. The last 8 steps were on a ladder. I almost forgot. We saw 192 Model A's today at the museum. One of them had eye brows on the heads lights! We arrived at the hotel mid afternoon. I did laundry and the guys did maintenance on the cars. Tom was adjusted his fan belt and found that the number 4 spark was very loose. He tightened it so no harm was done. It should be absolutely beautiful! We had some really good ice cream. Ray and I both got a NorEaster at Dorman's Dairy Dream. It was like a Blizzard. The ice cream shop won an award as the best ice cream in Maine. It was yummy! Tomorrow we will be in Bar Harbor.
