New York State Again

We left our hotel a little after 8AM this morning. Since we were in Montpelier, VT. We drove. To the Capitol. The gold dome sparkled in the sunlight. There was a museum. Next to the museum was a huge dinosaur made out of plastic bottlesttles. We drove to Chester, VT and ate lunch at the Moon Dog Cafe. It was all natural foods. Lunch was good but the service was terrible. We continued through Vermont to New York. Our last stop of the day was at Saratoga National Park. There were a couple of employees there that were very knowledgable about the battle and did a nice job explaining the it. Benedict Arnold was shot in his leg and seriously wounded. The bullet went through his boot and killed his horse. In 1887, a general wanted to remember Arnold because he felt that he was the most brilliant soldier in the continental army. (That's what the first two pictures are about.) Unfortunately, George Washington had issued a degree saying that no marker could have his name in the United States. So the general erected the boot monument at Saratoga in Benedict Arnolds honor. I apologize for the sideways picture of the dinosaur. I don't have an option to turn it. The deer was in the Saratoga Park.
