Day 2 was uneventful. The weather was nice. We only had a few sprinkles of rain. We stopped mid afternoon for an ice cream break. We visited the National Historic Site of the Petersburg Civil War Battle and we had dinner at a restaurant called the Tilted Kilt. It was a Hooters type of restaurant but to food was good and so was the service. They had a parking spot outside reserved for veterans. I thought that was pretty cool, especially since all of the men in our group are veterans. We have gone just shy of 600 miles now. Tomorrow will be a short day as we are less than 50 miles from Williamsburg. We plan to spend the next two days at Williamsburg just being tourists. The cars have been running well. In fact, we got over 20 mpg. on one tank of gas. Sorry I still can't post the pictures.

These three cars are headed for summer adventures starting May 30th. Ray & Teri Besch with their 1931 Model A Coupe have already had some great adventures, including a 12,607 mile adventure to the Arctic Circle in Alaska in 2011. Tom & Betty Miller with Daisy, their 1930 Fordor are always ready for an adventure.  Jim Wingo recently restored a 1931 Model A 400.  He can't wait drive on an extended tour.  He will travel with his wife, Quai and his daughter, Kimmie on some of the tour.  Only 19 more days until we leave.  We can't wait!
